Food in Louisiana

In Lousiana is common Cajun food and it is a rustic form to cook, it is used to prepare different dishes: primary favorites,
-Boudin
it is a type of sausage made from pork, pork liver, rice, garlic and green onions, and other spices. It is usually served with side dishes such as rice dressing, vegetables, or bread.

-Gumbo
that dish is like a soup, the principal ingredient is okra (from Africa). the classic gunmo is made with chiken and the cajun saussage called andouille, but the ingredients all depend on what is available at the moment.

-Jambalaya
the principal ingredient is rice but you can add other things like green peppers, onions, celery and hot child pepers. It reminds us our tipical "paella".

Each holiday has its own specific food, for example, St.Patrick’s Day

Instead St.Patrick’s Day is an Irish festivity, is also celebrated in Louisiana. As apart of the festivity the Irish stew that is made by: lamb, or mutton, (mutton is used as it comes from less tender sheep over a year old and is fattier and has a stronger flavour) as well as potatoes, carrots, onions, and parsley.
